Makes me wonder what the marketing departments of Aussie Telcos are doing? Years ago I wondered why no one in Australia was offering a decent mobile plan specifically for children and young teens. Why wouldn't the marketing departments do this to hook children in long-term. Think of Google's strategy from a marketing perspective of offering schools the tools they need for free, via Google Apps for Education, and what that does in the long term? It provides Google guaranteed users into the future as those kids are going to be Google users for many years post-school.
