Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) Programs: Baby Steps for Schools

What a fabulous workshop spent working through the research and trends related to Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) initiatives. We worked in small groups to discuss the nuts and bolts of making mobile environments work . We were also encouraged to consider factors that can increase their chances of successfully implementing mobile environments including equity issues, teacher readiness, culture that supports risk-taking, and simple tools for use tomorrow.  It was very clear that people had very different reasons for implementing BYOD but that everyone agreed it was the way of the future. the best thing about this session were the resources which can all be reached via the livebinder link  below.
