Beyond Catch Phrases- Digital Age Best Practice for Teachers
This session was very dry and once home I’ll scan the handouts and upload them here. The session was delivered by a Professor on a theory called H.E.A.T:
H= Higher Order Thinking
E= Engaged Learning
A= Authenticity
T= Technology Best Practice
It’s focus was Digital Age Best Practice e.g.
Promoting shared expertise through networked collaboration
Bolstering purposeful inquiry through student questions
Personalising and globalising content by making authentic connections
Accelerating individual growth through vertical/horizontal differentiation
Anchoring student learning with digital age tools and resources
Clarifying student understanding with formative assessments
However, we did view a great video as part of this presentation about the importance of being a first follower, rather than a leader, as it's the first follower that transforms the "lone nut" into a leader.
